All Things Mobile Conference – August 19, 2011

A recent study released by U.K. telecommunications regulator Ofcom reports a 40-fold increase in mobile data services in a three-year period, and more than a quarter of adults and nearly half of teenagers own a smartphone.

As mobile data consumption among smartphone users grows by the minute, trends in cloud computing, radio and TV usage will be impacted by those who develop and implement the next-generation applications and technologies.

The All Things Mobile conference is a day dedicated to learning from leading industry experts about mobility trends, security threats and best practices to avoid a data breach.

A full day of learning and exploration will be dedicated to the latest IT mobile statistics and technologies that will benefit your business and help you drive your mobility and web initiatives in the right direction all year long.

This looked cool! Events like this make me sad I’m a CPS distance learning student. I’m not even in Colorado. Us distance students could really benefit from a comprehensive write-up of the days activities. I’m in the Master’s of Computer Science program learning how to keep up to date on the latest programming trends for my wine refrigerator site, http://www.whichwinecooler.com Making sure my site is compatible with the constantly growing mobile market it a big concern for us. Were there any transcripts made available of what was covered at the event? Thanks! Matt Delaney, delan086@regis.edu

      Hello Matt,

I will definitely look into whether transcripts were available from this conference. It is important that we support our distance students in the best ways possible, so I will also pass along your concerns.

In the meantime, I would suggest looking into CMS platforms such as WordPress and Squarespace, both of which provide support of mobile detection for serving up web pages. I would also consult a web developer with both ecommerce & mobile expertise who can best support your online sales efforts an the various platforms.

Best to you (and will get back to you soon),
