Good News for MBA Graduates – Job Market Trending UpwardA recent article by GMAC.com cited surveys conducted by Corporate Recruiters and Global Education Graduate, both of which brought good news on the job market for MBA graduates and those pursuing an MBA to enhance their career.

According to the article, “The business school class of 2011 is graduating into an improving job market, as more companies plan to hire new MBAs and more students are graduating with offers in hand.”

The concurrent surveys reflected data from the businesses hiring MBA graduates and from the perspective of those graduating MBA students. Both conclude that hiring has increased in all market sectors, and “more than half of the students who were looking for work had job offers two months before graduation. Last year, that figure was lower than one-third.”

Not only is the MBA job market looking brighter, salaries are also on the rise. Annual salaries exceeded 2010 and 2009 levels, with an average base of over $90,000, which now closely matches salaries being offered by European employers.
