The Regis CPS Master of Arts is a self-designed degree, providing you, the adult student, with an individually designed, multidisciplinary, and academically rigorous program. It provides a framework for you to plan a course of study that’s unique to your graduate learning needs.

Required Courses

Students will complete a total of 36 credit hours of 600-level graduate courses, which include nine credit hours of required core courses. The first course to be completed is Graduate Research. The second course is Ethics and Multiculturalism. In addition, three one credit seminar courses are also required.

Core Studies (9 Credit Hours)

  • MAPC 601  Graduate Research (3 Credit Hours)
  • MAPC 602  Ethics and Multiculturalism (3)
  • MAPC 603  Graduate Interdisciplinary Studies (3 Credit Hours)

Emphasis Requirements (21 Credit Hours)

  • Students will complete a specialization of 21 credit hours.
  • Students will compile a portfolio that demonstrates progress toward learning goals.

Capstone Course (6 Credit Hours)

Students will complete a required capstone project; this may be a thesis, an applied research project, a formal analysis of an internship, and/or a service learning project. A minimum of six credit hours are required for the capstone, and these include the options below.

  • MAPC 694  MA Comprehensive (3 Credit Hours) and
    Additional M.A. specialization course (3 Credit Hours)
