Specializations cater to the demand for more teachers skilled in special education programs, foreign language, science and math, preparing Regis CPS graduates to inspire the young minds of our country’s future.

The Master of Education with Licensure/Certification can be achieved through a multi-year program utilizing evening and weekend classes, online classes, or guided independent study.

A graduate Licensure/Certification is dependent on the major of your Bachelor’s degree. If the level and area of endorsement you are seeking does not correspond to your specific major, you may need to take additional undergraduate credits as required by the laws and regulations for licensure/certification of the state in which you reside and wish to teach (namely, Colorado, Nevada, or Wyoming).

  • One Observation Form from a person that has observed the applicant with children of the appropriate age
  • Critical Analysis Essay
  • For Principal Licensure applicants: One Recommendation Form from a Principal, colleague, or supervisor who knows your work in a professional setting
  • Copy of current teaching license or a fingerprint card* (not required for Adult Learning, Training & Development applicants)

  • Years of Experience requirements for Principal Licensure applicants: 3 years of teaching experience required by completion of the program
  • Years of Experience requirements for Reading Teacher applicants: 2 years of teaching experience required by completion of the program
  • Successful completion of all three sections of the Praxis I (PPST) exam prior to student teaching
  • Additional admission requirements apply to students who are non-U.S. citizens
