ONE MAN CREATES INFLUENCE FROM MOUNTAINS OF DATA.

Business can be a lot like flying. Both take the right data to stay on course.

At least that's the thinking behind Norm Warren’s work. He has spent his career writing about business intelligence software for his employer, Microsoft. He would tell you in his very plain-spoken, approachable way that business intelligence software is like the cockpit of a plane. It provides constant feedback about a journey, and the user's job is to make small refinements in trajectory to stay on-course.

It's the story of his life, when you think about it.

Warren has had tremendous success as a technical writer for one of the largest technology companies in the world. But he's always evaluating his life’s data and making little refinements to his trajectory. That's what brought him to the School of Management.

"I was really looking for a way to marry my IT background with a business accounting track, and Regis has gone beyond my expectations."

He loved how the Jesuit mission reflected his own values. He loved the flexibility of the online courses. And he loved that the classes were directly related to the work he does already. With only one more class to complete, Warren is already navigating areas in his current role as a writer to expand his influence in productive, meaningful ways.

"I believe in the value of tools which help to deliver the right information, to the right people, at the right time. That's what business intelligence is."

It's also what Regis University’s School of Management is all about.
